About Us
Back in 1997, our goal was simple—design the perfect tee and celebrate our love of laid-back, Southern California style. Today, helmed by Creative Director Jenny Graham, Velvet by Graham & Spencer has grown into seasonal collections for both men and women while still maintaining our original ethos of meticulous craftsmanship, clean lines and premier fabrics. Our goal is to design pieces that will be your favorites for years and we are hugely proud of the fact that we still produce the majority of our collections in America. Velvet by Graham & Spencer can be found in exclusive boutiques, premier department stores and ecommerce sites nationwide and internationally.
Giving Back
When the pandemic hit in March 2020, we quickly rose to the challenge of designing, sewing and donating non-medical grade masks to essential workers, medical teams and our customers.
Every year we work with many different charities. Efforts include month-long coat drives at select retail stores as well as donations to The Midnight Mission.
We've contributed to Dress for Success and Catalyst for International Women’s Day. Both organizations support women in professional independence and workplace inclusion.
CLOTHING FOR CHARITY
At Velvet, we want to help create a fair and beautiful society. We believe in giving back and supporting our local, national, and global communities. By donating clothing to several charities a year, we can help play a part in making the world a better place.
Sustainability
All online orders now ship in recycled boxes, use biodegradable tape and we’ll even recycle any return packaging.
When you check out your online order, we give you the option to skip the tissue and save on waste.
We don’t automatically send a return label with every order, only if requested (and hopefully, not necessary).
VELVET CARES
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we pivoted resources and mobilized our efforts to be of service to essential workers. We sewed masks in our Los Angeles headquarters using fabrics from our previous Collections. We have donated non-medical cloth masks to hospital staff and charities dear to our heart. For every order of mask packs, we have donated $5 to organizations near and dear to us, such as Heart of Dinner, whose mission is to combat food insecurity and isolation within NYC’s elderly Asian American community.
